Reefer Gantry Replacement — PD Ports

CB Construction were commissioned by PD Ports to remove and replace a damaged reefer gantry as part of ongoing operational upgrades at the port. The project required full dismantling of the existing structure, followed by fabrication, galvanising, and erection of a new gantry designed to meet modern compliance standards.

Dismantling & Removal of Existing Structure

Our team began by safely dismantling and removing the damaged gantry from site. Working in a live operational environment, the removal was carried out with strict adherence to port safety procedures and with minimal disruption to port activities.

Fabrication, Galvanising & Erection of New Gantry

Following removal, CB Construction fabricated a new steel gantry engineered to current specifications. The structure was fully galvanised to ensure long-term corrosion protection and durability in a marine environment.

The new gantry was supplied complete with:

• Access stairs

• Handrailing

• Roof covering

• Updated layout to meet compliance requirements

Once fabrication was completed, our teams erected the structure on-site, coordinating lifting operations and installation safely and efficiently.

The replacement structure was designed to improve safety, accessibility, and durability, ensuring the reefer gantry meets modern compliance requirements for ongoing operations.
