ALUMINIUM FABRICATION
At CB Construction, we fabricate aluminium components using a range of processes suited to both structural and precision applications. Aluminium is typically supplied in sheet, plate, or extruded form, which we then cut, form, weld, and machine to meet exact project requirements.
Our fabrication process often begins with detailed drawings or CAD models, which guide cutting and profiling using saws, plasma equipment, or CNC machinery. From there, components are formed using press brakes and shaping tools to achieve accurate angles and curves while maintaining dimensional control.
PRECISION MACHINING & FORMING
Unlike steel fabrication—where heat plays a larger role—aluminium projects often require controlled forming techniques to prevent cracking or deformation. We use specialist tooling designed for aluminium, allowing us to bend, roll, and reshape the material without compromising strength at critical points.
Where assemblies require high accuracy, we machine components to final tolerance using finishing equipment, ensuring a clean, accurate fit for installation.
SPECIALIST ALUMINIUM WELDING
Aluminium requires a different welding approach from mild or stainless steel. Our team use TIG and MIG welding processes specifically set up for aluminium alloys, ensuring strong, clean welds with minimal distortion.
We also carry out post-weld dressing, grinding, and finishing to achieve a smooth, professional appearance—particularly important where components remain visible in their final installation.
