Fender Pile Jacket – Precision Engineering & Delivery

CB Construction (Cleveland) Ltd. was commissioned to deliver the complete detailing, fabrication, welding, testing, and transportation of a large-scale fender pile jacket. This project required precision engineering and high-quality fabrication to meet strict structural and marine industry standards.

Detailed Steelwork Design & Fabrication

The process began with our in-house detailing team, who worked closely with the client’s specifications and engineering drawings to produce highly accurate 3D models and shop drawings. Given the harsh marine environment the structure would endure, every element of the design was optimized for durability and long-term performance.

Our fabrication team then brought the designs to life, cutting, rolling, and assembling heavy-duty steel sections to form the primary framework of the fender pile jacket. Advanced CNC machinery was utilized to ensure millimeter-accurate cuts, while precision welding techniques were employed to secure structural integrity.

Welding & Structural Integrity Testing

Due to the demanding conditions in which the fender pile jacket would operate, every weld had to meet rigorous quality control standards. Our team performed a combination of:
✅ MIG for maximum strength and corrosion resistance
✅ Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspections
✅ Dimensional checks and load-bearing assessments to confirm structural stability

Each stage of welding and testing was meticulously documented to provide full traceability and assurance that the final structure met all required industry certifications.

Final Assembly & Transportation

Upon completion of fabrication and testing, the fender pile jacket was carefully positioned for load-out. Given its size and weight, specialized transport solutions were arranged, including:
🚛 Custom heavy-haulage trailers equipped to handle oversized loads
🔗 Secure tie-down and bracing systems to prevent movement during transit
🛳 Coordination with port authorities to facilitate seamless delivery
