CB Construction (Cleveland) Ltd. was entrusted with the fabrication and installation of a high-strength tower crane grillage and tower crane ties, forming a critical structural element for a new student accommodation project in central London. This demanding project required precision at every stage, from initial detailing to on-site assembly within the tight confines of the city.

Our scope began with translating client-designed drawings into detailed fabrication plans, ensuring every component met exacting specifications. The steelwork was then meticulously fabricated and rigorously tested to meet the highest industry standards for strength and durability.

Logistics played a crucial role, as the steel had to be transported into the heart of London, where our skilled site team took over. We provided temporary framework, allowing the client to cast the heavy-duty steel brackets into their precise positions.

Working with tight tolerances, we assembled the grillage directly onto the building’s core, ensuring perfect alignment for the crane’s base.

With everything in place, we completed the installation, delivering a secure and stable access platform for the crane’s base.
